SHESQ stands for Safety, Health, Environment, Security and Quality. SHESQ is an important aspect of the way BritNed does business. BritNed's goal is to achieve the highest of SHESQ standards that as a minimum will comply with all currently applicable regulations of Great Britain and the Netherlands.
BritNed is mindful of the environment in which it operates and through balanced choices we will strive to ensure that our actions will have minimal impact on the environment.
Route to Zero
All employees have a right to feel safe at work and it is our goal to ensure there are zero incidents in the work place. Safe behaviour is essential to making this happen.
BritNed has a number of Golden Rules which aim to ensure there are no incidents in the work place – ‘Route to Zero’. These are fundamental building blocks if we are to achieve the route to zero.
These Golden Rules focus on critical areas of the business where safe behaviour by all employees are essential to protecting our workforce and the public. They cover behaviours that will prevent the most serious injuries.
One Team, One View, One Way
BritNed believes that all work related injuries and illnesses are preventable. It is our policy to integrate safety and occupational health considerations into all of our business decisions, to help ensure the safety of ourselves and the public.
Share best practice
We are committed to delivering best practice therefore, we expect our contractors and subcontractors to follow our safety rules. We are also keen to learn of any safety initiatives used by our contractors in order to help improve safety.
BritNed has developed a Safety, Health, Environment and Security programme. The SHES programme consists of a variety of elements including organising workshops, carrying out SUSA (Safe and Unsafe Acts) visits on site and providing communication materials.
